U.S. Senate elections were held for 36 U.S. Senate seats on November 4, 2014. Following the elections, Republicans won control of the Senate after picking up seats in Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, North Carolina, South Dakota, and West Virginia.
